» Technology Reviews

I'll admit I'm a sucker for technology of the high kind. But for me, it's not about chasing the latest iteration of a phone that only offers marginal improvements.
Instead I get typicaly get excited for technonolgy that enables me to do new things and have new outlets. I like the bleeding edge, not the newest disposable phone.

Whenever I pick up something that I'm excited about, I'll review it here!

Lenovo Mirage Solo

Lenovo Mirage Solo

Now typically I loathe mobile VR, including Oculus’ recent offering of the Oculus GO. My primary gripe is always the same: lack of positional tracking. For those who landed on this article from Google, and might not know what that … Continue reading

8bitdo Bluetooth NES

8BITDO Bluetooth NES Controller

Another day, another controller review. Lol. My first “smartphone” as we would know them today, was an early Android HTC Hero, probably around Android Cupcake or so. For a long time I’ve been of the mind that Android is unusable, and I … Continue reading

HTC Vive

To get to the point: I think the HTC Vive is the best VR headset on the market, all things considered. Well, as of mid 2018 anyway. I first fell in love with the Vive when my office got one. … Continue reading

Razer Blackwidow Chroma Keyboard

In a previous post I reviewed the Poseidon-Z keyboard. I loved that keyboard, and thought I would be using it for some time to come. That is, of course, until a spill happened. Unfortunately mechanical keyboards are much more susceptible to … Continue reading

Retro Fighters NES Controller

The Retro Fighters NES Controller was a total impulse buy. I was at my local Brooklyn Microcenter to pick up a hard drive and some plastic for my 3D printer. I happened to notice this, and I’m not sure why, … Continue reading

Ricoh Thea M15

Theta M15 360 Camera

I LOVE This device! I originally got to try a Theta M15 camera at the 2015 San Mateo Maker Faire. We gathered around and took a group shot. It was cool, but it’s impressiveness hadn’t sunken in on me yet. Recently … Continue reading

At my previous job we had an internal mailing list where people would post stuff for sale, like a mini craigslist. In a huge corporation you can sort through hundreds of posts a day. Being a thrifty-geek I ended up … Continue reading

Poseidon Z Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Poseidon Z

One of my hobbies is finding the perfect keyboard. In my mind, that’s an open-ended goal. Nothing is perfect, so there will always be something better. As such, I find myself changing out keyboards every few months when something exciting … Continue reading

Apple - iPhone 6

The Apple iPhone 4S was actually my first review in the technology review section. It’s not surprising – I have had that phone forever. I was very impressed with the longevity of the 4S. It lasted me slightly over 3 … Continue reading

Vibe 2.1 Speakers

VIBE 2.1 Mini Speakers

As I’ve written about before, I enjoy gambling on cheap technology. Most of the time I’m pleasantly surprised with the quality, and at a minimum I would say I at least break even. But nothing can excuse this product. No … Continue reading

Portable Sega Genesis Player
