DieHard 41-6003 Render

Diehard Flashlight Render

Sometimes when I look around the room I noticed hard surface objects that I think would be fun to model and render, or quick to model and render. Seeing this flashlight on my desk I decided it would be both fun and quick to render. While I enjoy practicing hard surface modeling on its own, I decided to use this as an excuse to learn about HDRI lighting inside Blender. I used this tutorial for the HDRI lighting, and I believe I used the HDRI image provided by them.

Here’s the subject:

I’m proud of the bump mapping on the aluminum casing and the mesh in general, but I’m most proud of the detailed lens and interior electronics on the inside – it looks exactly like the real deal!
