ASUS Nexus 7

ASUS Nexus 7

You may have read my recent ASUS MeMO Pad review. Well I’m no longer in possession of that device, and thankfully replaced it with an ASUS Nexus 7. My friend found a deal on the 2013 Nexus that involved trading in an old tablet. Rather than trade in his 2012 Nexus 7, we decided to swap devices so he could turn over the low-end MeMO and I could upgrade to a Nexus 7, albeit last years model.

This device basically rights all the wrongs of the MeMO. It’s fast, responsive, and can zoom photos without causing the earth to briefly stop spinning. The only thing the MeMO did right was including a Micro SD slot. Unfortunately the Nexus 7 doesn’t have such a slot, but I’d much rather have a tablet that works well than a slot on a brick.

As I get accustomed to the new device, I’ll update this article.
